Dear Reader,
In the first blog post on my blog I’d like to briefly explain why I’ve decided to write it. If you want to know more about my background, just visit the about page.
What will this blog be about?
To be honest I’m not sure yet. I have ideas for several blog posts about productivity, processes and culture and few about some other topics. For now, I will take my time to see what content and form will be most interesting for both you and me.
Why do I do this?
My first reason is the fact that I have the privilege of working at Estimote where I have learned a great deal about processes and culture. And since most of that hasn’t yet been described publicly anywhere I’d like to do it here, so that more people can benefit from the knowledge we have.
The second reason is that I am very interested in answering the question “What makes a given person/team/organization effective?” and I have some thoughts that may be helpful for you.
Thirdly, there are many other ideas I would like to share with others, and a blog seems like the right place to do that.
There are also some obvious personal gains for me, like building my personal brand, practicing writing, ordering my thoughts and probably many others.
What about the name?
My name is Michał Stęchły. The best translation for “stęchły” is “musty”. Since I want to share my thoughts with you, “thoughts” seemed like a good second part of the name.
